Livery and equestrian yard, Monk Fryston

A livery yard tractor with no deposit

Used 2008 John Deere compact tractor

financed
£15,500
hire purchase
48 months
enquiry to payout
11 days

price before VAT
£48,500
financed
£43,150

How the numbers work: worked examples

Example, not a real customer

A drill and power harrow combination

price plus VAT
£32,000
VAT as the deposit
£6,400
a month for 48 months
£810

Shown here as monthly payments. Many lenders on our panel can instead match payments to the farm year, with larger payments after harvest and smaller ones through the spring.

Worked out at an illustrative fixed rate of 9.9% a year. Total payable £45,283 including the VAT deposit.

Example, not a real customer

A used grain trailer before harvest

A mixed farm needing more haulage at harvest. Used 14 tonne grain trailer.

price plus VAT
£16,000
VAT as the deposit
£3,200
a month for 48 months
£405

A trailer can go on its own agreement, or alongside a tractor so the farm has one payment. Trailers hold their value, which keeps the cost of finance down.

Worked out at an illustrative fixed rate of 9.9% a year. Total payable £22,642 including the VAT deposit.

These examples are illustrations to show how the finance works. Your rate, deposit and term depend on your business, the machine and the lender, and all finance is subject to status.
